Semester Research Paper

So all my excitement I had about my research paper is very quickly going away. I was so comfortable with the fact that I had a good topic. Well apparently I was on some drug (joking) because once I started doing my research I can't find any scholarly sources. I thought sources over this topic would be overflowing from all directions... I guessed wrong. I hope everyone else's paper is going better than mine. I am praying that mine starts to come together very soon. Good Luck to everyone.

Stressed!!

Ok so we just got off of Fall Break and already I'm counting up the weeks until our next break (for those of you who want to know it is 6 weeks). I have projects, papers, and tests coming from every direction. On top of that I also still work two jobs and am in two mentoring programs: Big Brothers Big Sisters and Sis2Sis (an on campus mentor program). However, I am not really that worried about the paper for this class anymore, actually I am pretty excited, mainly because I am so excited about my topic. I chose to write my research paper on the differences of communication between men and women. This should be interesting. I have even found some books that have a lot of interesting facts. I hope everyone else isn't having too difficult of a time with the paper. Good Luck to everyone, have a Great week!!

So it seems as though we are getting closer and closer to writing this research paper. Is anyone else nervous about this paper. It's not so much about writing the paper; but more so trying to find scholarly sources in order to write a sufficent paper. On a different subject I am so happy to be on fall break; but I am not happy that I've spent my entire fall break doing homework. UGH!! Well at least I have some time to try to get caught up on missed assignments from where I was sick. We only have two more days and then it's back to school. Fall Break is way to short!! I'm already ready for another break. I hope everyone is enjoying their break.

Sick!!

This week I got the flu and therefore didn't get any work done for any of my classes. I'm just now starting to feel a little better and so I'm trying to play catch up. I had come up with a few ideas for the "This I Believe" Essay, but hadn't really got a start on it. When I get back to classes I'm going to have to make up my chemistry test that I missed and I am really dreading that. I am just glad to finally be feeling better. Other than that I have a lot to catch up on with this class so I'm going to get to work.

I guess there really is a first time for everything!!

Ok So today started what like the 4th week of school and it feels like the 24th. Anyways, I overslept this morning for the first time EVER in my life. Now for any regular student this may seem okay and may even be like oh well it happens; but for me not so much. I nearly had a nervous breakdown. For those of you who do not know, I am a perfectionist at EVERYTHING I do. I mean since I started school at WEstern 3 years ago I have only missed class one day and that was because I was so sick I could barely move on my own and my roomate had to skip class to take me to the doctor. I just don't see the point in doing something only halfheartedly, if thats the case why do it at all? So needless to say when I realized I had overslept I sent my professor an email long enough to be an essay explaining the situaion at hand and how truely sorry I was. That, however, did not make me feel better even after she emailed me back saying she understood and that we can't be perfect all the time. Needless to say this is going to be on my mind for awhile. So I hope this isn't a sign as to how the rest of my week is going to go because if it is I should quit now.

Ok!! So on to the 2nd week of school, between both jobs, going to school full-time, being in Big Brothers Big Sisters and anticipating joining another mentor program and a Leadership program, possibly a Buisness Fraternity I am trying to find time to breathe. Then on top of all of this I somehow decided it was smart to take an honors class to challenge myself. What was I thinking?? Ok so we just had a small break for labor day yet already I can't wait for Fall Break. Oh well I hope everyone's semester is going GREAT!!!! Best wishes to all.

My 1st ever blog!!

Ok so I'm not really sure what all a blog is suppose to be about but hey I'll give it a try. So this semester is about to be rediculously (is that even a word... I doubt it) busy. I am a Chemistry major I'm not sure why I want to go throught this dreaded, stressful major but hey that's what college is about right?? Oh well I can't believe i"m already overwhelmed and it's only the second week of classes.... Welcome Back to School!!!! I'm off to do some more studying Happy Wednesday everyone!!!!
